The Lord Of The Rings is one of the best Trilogy of all time. I look at these movies as a whole, because that’s exactly what they are; a ten hour, completely epic story of courage and friendship. Not enough can be said about what Peter Jackson did with the source material. Basically a no name director before taking the reigns, Jackson has now turned himself into a household name. I couldn’t imagine the way any other director in Hollywood would have handled these novels.
JRR Tolkien’s books are written with distinct detail, but with the help of Jackson’s personal vision, Middle Earth is truly an amazing thing to watch. Something must be said about every performance throughout all three films. To be able to pull of roles such as these have to completely on the mark or the movie is going to instantly lose the audience’s interest. An elf, wizard, cave creature, hobbit and humans run around a mystical world battling off some of the most evil creations ever put on film. I have never had such a pleasant surprise before. They are truly great films and have the Oscars to prove it.
As the map of Middle Earth unfolds, so does the great story that is being told onscreen. The Lord Of The Rings Trilogy cannot be summed up with words; you have to see them to believe it. The performances are great, the visuals are amazing, and the story will never be forgotten. Three movies that set the bar at a seemingly unreachable level of Epic. Give Lord of the Rings a chance; you’ll thank me later.
